Dream about my parents dying PLEASE HELP

All last night I had dreams about my parents dying. First, let me tell you about myself to maybe help out the interpretation. I'm a freshmen in college and just last year (on Christmas actually) I lost my dog, who (I know everyone says this) but really was the best dog an owner could have to cancer.. and my family and I have had a lot of problems coping since. I guess it wasn't any better that I left and went away to college that next year.
So my dream:
First I had a dream last night, a very short one, that both my parents died. It was a very quick and sudden thing, and I woke up very nervous. After I managed t fall back asleep, I had a longer dream that my dad had cancer and that he was due to die. I remember my parents coming up, and talking to my dad and him, of course being stubborn and saying there was no chance he would die. While that made me feel better.. my mom said that there was no chance he'd live. I remember in the dream saying things like "stupid college" and how it made me miss time with my dad. And how I can't understand how cancer could take people from me twice in a row. It was due to be "family weekend" and my dad said he would make sure he would be there. What was weird is that when I asked my mom if she would, she said that she wouldn't (she would never miss an opportunity to be here) because my uncle (who I'm very close with in real life and is about to turn 50) and his wife were having a baby this weekend.
All in all it was a very weird dream and night for me. I am very happy at the college I go to, and speak to my parents every night, so I doubt that iit is a sign that I want to go home. PLEASE give me feedback as this is going to bother me all day.

Hi,
I think you are feeling a bit homesick. You have a lot more time to worry about people when you feel lonely. If you closely examine your idle thoughts in waking time, I am sure you will find that your dreams contain many of your day time musings in the dreams.

Death means they will have a problem solved, dreams should be interpreted and rarely they are in direct saying.

Back in May-June of 2007, I (while living in california) and my younger sister (living with my parents in New Jersey) had very similar dreams about the death of my parents.

Mine was a recurring dream about the funerals for each parent, while my sisters was only of my Mother dying of Cancer.

In late August of 2007, I was asked to fly home and upon arriving was told my Mother in fact had Stage III Ovarian Cancer.
It was then my Sister revealed to me her dream and I told her of mine.

Currently my family is going through major turmoil.
My Grandmother also is dying of cancer and may pass away within a few days or weeks.

My father has become extremely weak from the stress of my Mothers oncoming death and I feel his time is short as well.

I don't know what to make of all this since I am not one who normally places great value in the science of dreams. Nevertheless, the coincidence between my sister and I dreaming and reality occuring is interesting to say the least
