Twice in the last week I had a dream where whales have been a major part of the dream. The first time I dove into the ocean with scuba gear on and met a humpback whale, whee I filmed it. Then I ended up in Australia in a pub floating in the ocean, where I told people about the whale and then went back into the water where the whale came and then a killer whale showed up. Last night I dreamt that I was again scuba diving and met a white beluga whale and I myself became a dolphin. Is there any significance to whales appearing in dreams more than once.

Hey there,
In dreams, water is usually a symbol of emotions. It feels like here the diving could mean that you've become very immersed in your emotions. Having the diving equipment seems to reflect that you are literally equipped to deal with the emotions that you face: you are slowly and safely exploring your inner feelings and emotions. You seem comfortable with most the creatures you meet there; you photograph and film them, which perhaps symbolizes your ability to objectively sit back and figure what you feel and what it means? Whales generally reflect your intuition and awareness, being tuned into your spiritual side; so perhaps this is more specifically the emotional aspect you're working with? The floating pub - perhaps again your ability to live with your emotional world and comfort being there. Telling people about the whale perhaps means you are ready to share those emotions now that you have worked out what you feel? As for the subsequent dive with the killer whale: was it just there or was it attacking? This has the feel of you "testing the waters" after telling people those emotions to see the response. You see the whale again: you're still observing. It feels like the killer whale represents your fear or rejection or negative response from the people you told; but it seems more that you're simply analyzing the possibility and how you would respond emotionally to it rather than running from it. Once again, you do have the equipment (dive gear) and objectivity (camera) to deal with it. In the second dream where you become the dolphin; it feels like this is an even more total immersion than the scuba diving. You have become one with your emotions. A dolpin in itself can be a symbol of spiritual guidance, a connection between conscious and unconscious, and willingness to explore te emotions. Perhaps your subconscious is telling you that it finished through whatever it was working on in the first dream? Here you see a white whale; as well as the whale symbol being one of spirituality, white is also often a color denoting spirituality. This seems like a very nice time for you. Have you recently had a spiritual awakening? Hope that helps. |

Hi,
Shark or killer whale are interpreted as a thief. If dreamt a whale or a shark took him into the deep ocean means there is a drowning danger. If dreamt shark or a whale bit him means he will have a loss.If dreamt a whale swallowed him means there is a danger by a shark or a fish.If dreamt he was fighting with a shark or whale and he was the winner means he will overcome the enemy.Whale skin or flesh or bones mean as a hurt or a loss.Dolphin is interpreted as a person.

Thanks for the interpretations, the whales, even the killer whale seemed to be apart of me or connected in some way, so I think Hobgoblin you may be right in some aspects. I have been looking for a new job and it was putting stress on me, but yesterday when I had the dream I just got a job in the field I went to school for and it put me at ease, could that be why I dreamt about the white whale. I don't think spirtuality has anything to do with it because I am not religious or adhere to any form of spirituality.
