Last night I woke at 3:15, can not figure out why. After going back to bed had a very odd dream. I was in a house with some other people when suddly there was an enormous earthquake, a very loud pop then the side of the house I was in collapes into an earth crevous from the quacke, I fell landed on my back and suddenly my neck got really warm (but what I first thought was mud, but turned out to be blood). I tried to wake myself from the dream but could not. I could not move, I could not open my eyes! I was dead ... my boyfriend kissed me on the forehead then said good bye. I woke at this point ... come to find out he really did kiss me and say good bye on his way off to work.
What does your own death mean in your own dream? Confused Teri |

Hi,
If one dreamt there was a quake and earth was shivering means the people of that region will have a disaster or an epidemic. If dreamt the earth was upside down means there will be a big disaster. If dreamt there was a slight earth quake and earth was shivering slightly and one side was down means the governor of that region will tease people and will plunder them. The stories/81 .

I'm not sure how to interpret your dream, but I do know that Verzandah has no idea what he's talking about; honestly, I'm wondering if he's just making fun of people at this point.
However, I have to admit that I do agree with him on one thing: Dreams can SOMETIMES have prophetic value (although he seems to think they ALWAYS do, which is ludicrous). The one time I can remember dying in a dream, turns out my dad died that night and I didn't even find out about it until the next day. Allegorical prophecy or mere coincidence? Who's to say? I don't think that dying in your dream has any one given meaning; depends on the person, and depends on the context of the dream, not to mention the dream's context in the person's life. One interesting thing about your dream is that there is an element of lucidity (you mention that at one point you tried to wake yourself) but the dream continued to spiral out of control. To me, that would indicate that you feel that you cannot control your fate even when you are aware of the circumstances. It's a dream that represents your helplessness. |
