I have now had this dream 5 times where my last love interest & a business associate have become lovers. The dreams themselves are different but it always turns out to be the same. They are in love. My lover & I were together for 3 years. The break-up was my decision. I wanted a life free to do my own thing & not be tied down to anyone. I ended it but we have had a lot of contact over the year we have been separated. I love him still and would maybe like to spend the rest of my life with him, but I need space right now. My business associate worked for me for around 10 years where I groomed her for a mgmnt position that she deserved & now is my equal at work, except in salary. I have studied this & think that maybe I feel fear she may take over my area of business & the man I still love. It's so unsettling because in day to day business I know this can't happen. And my lover has no way of even knowing her.
Anybody have any ideas? |

Although it would be best to have more background information in order to be surer of an accurate interpretation, from what you’ve said in your post it looks like the image of your former lover in the dream does indeed represent the outer man as opposed to an inner aspect of yourself.
So based on the fact that you still have feelings for him and may even want to become close again, the repeating dream might be trying to balance out this desire to reunite by showing you an aspect of him that you may not be aware enough of. Since the outer woman can’t possibly challenge you in business or in getting to know your ex lover, then her image in the dream is likely being used as a metaphor to represent a situation related to your lover. The theme of the “other woman” often relates to the fact that the man involved has some all-consuming passion such as his job or some other very strong interest to which deep down he is more loyal than to the significant woman in his life. In this take on your dream, the message might be to slow down and take a look at whether there is indeed such another “woman” in his life and whether it would truly be worth getting too involved once again. However as mentioned, without knowing much about you an accurate interpretation is difficult to make, but I hope that at least these ideas will stimulate further interest in your dream so that an accurate interpretation can be made. When this happens, the repeating dream should stop. Best of luck. |
