NOTE: This is the first time I've used this and I can't find spell check. Also, I have a tendency to ramble, transpose words/grouping of words in a sentence, or even omit words. I try to remove this but if the sentence structure does not sound the most intelligent please do not judge. My mind goes 'a mile a minute", especially when in revere/flow mode. (Thanks)
I have regular dreams. Many in color, many reoccuring, many very vivid, and many the continue from one day to the next (in a semi-sequence), in progression..... I've always dreamed. There are times when the dreams are 'heavier' and more real. Mostly they intrigue me and I know there is meaning in them. When there is a 'sense' of meaning I look for it until I am at peace with with my discovery. DejaVu is common in my wake & so is intuitition. I learned that I need to trust it all but not put too much credience to it that it disrupts my life.... This dream.... The dream that I can not determine is one that has a reoccuring theme. This is more of a progression dream. The feeling that there's something wrapped around and stuck at the base of my tooth where the gum meets the root (a molar in the back bottom right of my tooth). I know I've been dreaming this for a while. Initially the sense was that something was stuck there. A peice of a corn kernel or something. I could run my tounge on it. It felt like it needed to be pulled out. I could tell it was under the gum. An annoyance. It did not hurt and there was no cut or blood. I think a few times I got it to a point that I didn't feel it any longer after I messed with it in the dream. However, then it would resurface again in later dreams. Though never as a theme of my dream. Last night it was almost the theme of the dream, or at least played a prominanent role. There were many things going on in last night's dream. So many details that are vague now but that if I thought about it they would come, however I don't have time to think about them. My dreams are typically very detailed expecially these "sense" dreams where I beleive there is something for me to look more deeply into. Anyways, at the end of my dream. Shortly before I woke up I had what I finally figured out for sure (I had a sense of what it was in previous dreams, but didn't know for sure) it was a string of dental floss tied around the molar, tucked under the gum. Wrapped around it, about 3 times. Again, it did not hurt, there was no blood, it was just annoying & I had to get it removed. It intrigued me & pre-occupied my mind while other things were going on. After a bit of laboring to remove it (the setting was a gathering of friends, family, & people that I didn't know. A ski resort sort of feel to it with elements of a forest park setting. Activity all around but healthy activity. Productivity. In a 'natural' environment, with dirt, woods, and animals around me.) It took a while of me fidgeting & working on it to remove it. I didn't get mad & I don't think I used any special tools. Just kept working to get it out without calling attention to my actions to get it out. I ended up getting it unwound and feeling a sense of relief. I think, right before I woke up that I even had a larger cell phone in my hand and was calling someone to meet up with them, now that I could focus rather than having an OCD where the dental floss wrapped on my tooth was concerned. Any suggestions? My life is full of activity and sometimes what appear to be strange events. My life is always full of nice surprises and transitions. I would be interested in hearing what others may say about this particular dream. Last edited by Tipperairy : 09-13-2007 at 01:52 PM. |

Hi,
Teeth are family members , upper ones are male and lower ones are female .Molar teeth are parents or grand parents. Any kind of thread means a travel , but if a teeth fell and it was beside you or in your hand means that family member will come to visit you.If the fallen tooth was lost in the soil means that member will go to a far travel and you won't see him/her. If one dreamt his front tooth fell in his hand or fell on his side and wasn't polluted with soil means he/she will have a baby or brother or sister. If dreamt his front tooth fell on the ground and was lost in the soil means there is a death danger for his child or brother and sister, or they will separate him and there will be no news from them. If dreamt some of his teeth broke or was decayed means one of his family members will have a disaster. If dreamt his front tooth was hurt or was stoke means he will have enmity with a brother or sister. If dreamt one of his front teeth was pulled out means he will insult a brother or sister and will separate him/her. If dreamt his front teeth was added or were clean and good means one of his brothers or sisters will receive a happiness. If dreamt he had a new tooth beside the front teeth , if in upper row means he will have a baby boy or a brother , if in the lower row means he will have a baby girl or a sister. If dreamt he pulled out his front tooth may be one of the family will pull out a tooth. If dreamt all of his teeth were in his hand or fell on his side means his family members will increase like a groom or a bride. If dreamt all of his teeth fell down and were lost in the soil means some of the family will have a disaster. Upper teeth are male and lower teeth are female , Molar teeth are parents or grand parents. If dreamt his teeth were of glass or silver or clay means there is a death danger and short life. If dreamt there was a tooth in his heart means a death danger. Some interpreters say if a tooth fell down means he will pay his debt or will have a fight and argument. If dreamt all of his teeth fell on his side and he took all in his hand means he will gather the family and relatives around himself. If dreamt his teeth were good smell means the family will admire him. If dreamt his teeth were bad smell means the family speak behind the back of him. If dreamt his tooth ached and he pulled it out means he will receive some money. If dreamt his tooth was black and decayed means he will have a sorrow. If dreamt his teeth fell down and he wrapped them in a cloth means he will have a long life so that all of his family will pass away before him and he will take part in their funerals. If dreamt his tooth ached and he took the face with his right hand means he will receive less than 25$. If took his face with left hand means he will receive more than 75 $ and less than 250 $. If he took the ace with both hands means he will receive a good money. If dreamt he took a bleeding tooth among his teeth means he will pull it out or will have a disaster. If dreamt some of his teeth were disappeared means some of his relatives will travel abroad and will be back safely. If dreamt all of his teeth were gathered on his tongue and were in their place again means the family will complain him. Teeth may also mean : 1- family and relatives 2- money 3- benefits 4- A sorrow 5- hurt 6- Separation. Thread is interpreted as a travel. If dreamt he was spinning wool to thread means he will go to a travel. If dreamt he was spinning cotton or silk means he will do something unsuitable for men. If dreamt he took some thread to a cloth weaver means he is in the middle of a job. If a woman dreamt she was spinning woo; or hair to thread means her traveler will be back. If while spinning the thread was torn means his traveler will stay in the travel. If dreamt had a lot of thread means he will have a long life and benefits. Thread may also mean: 1- a travel 2- wage 3- long life 4- plenty of benefits.

Thanks for the response, but this does not seem to directly apply to the situation. There was nothing wrong with the tooth, just dental floos wrapped around it, which I removed. There was no damage to the tooth, no blood, it didn't fall out, etc. The floss was just wrapped around it and a nucience.
There's not issues with female family members or my mother (ie. lower molar). We did travel. The final 'unwrapping' of the floss occured while we were traveling, whereas the dreams about the dental floss on the tooth started months earlier. The trip was unplanned due to my father-in-law being in the hospital. If you have anyother references, or thought I'd enjoy listening to them. Thanks |

A couple of ideas, Tipperairy,
In dreams, teeth can be a symbol of aggression, conversation and/or appetite. That there was something stuck in your teeth could symbolise that you are being called to attention in one of these areas. Are you being overly aggressive in waking life? Have you said something you shouldn't have? Floss removes plaque from your teeth, so it could represent something or someone trying to help you (but it/they are actually being a nusance...) Otherwise, this dream could represent something nagging at your subconscious that you will need to patiently work out. I hope you find your answer |

I do believe what you wrote comes a little closer to what the dream may symbolize. The other suggestion about travel may have a connection as well, but what you wrote fits better.
My husband has been dealing with a number of issues and I am having to be extra careful about what I say and how I say it (communication & frustration). I want to push him to work thru a number of things, as I think he keeps setting himself up by inaction or opposit actions, but must be gentle to prevent him from doing the opposite of what's best for him. Put into the context of the rest of the dream, an outdoor setting with a lot of people in a social setting I think there was food there as well. One of the things my husband and I have to work thru is related to food. We eat natural, organic, and minimally processed foods. Add to that he's not supposed to have wheat, dairy, or soy but still does, not with severe reactions but definatelly some physical but more emotional. Thank you both for you input. It helps give me something to think about and meditate on. |

Brief update.
My father-in-law passed the first week of November 2007, a little less than 2 months after that post. We had traveled to Texas to visit him. My husband's biological mother passed when he was 14 years old. Maybe, or maybe not this is related? Maybe his mother was trying to tell me something? Thanks again, |
