In my dream, my boyfriend and I (he exists in waking life…1 month old relationship) were running around a mansion (unfamiliar to me in waking life) working on some project that seemed to vaguely relate to why we were in this house. There was pressure to finish the project quickly. My boyfriend’s brother showed up at this house, and he began to help us. All three of us were running around a swimming pool in the backyard when his brother commented on pain he had been experiencing in his genital region. He asked us to examine it, turned around, and bent over. My boyfriend and I unabashedly took a look, but both of us were shocked seeing the infected flesh just below the anus but above the gonads. The infected region was about the size of a flat softball. It was infected with several puss filled blisters at the top area, the remaining area appeared to be rotting flesh (black and blue with traces of blood). I was unclear how to “break it” to his brother the gravity of his condition. I woke up. Awake, I felt disgusted by the images, and a sense of helplessness to change the affliction. There was a element of anxiety in the dream – described by the unproductive project, sense of waning time to complete it, and the numerous distractions that kept us from moving forward on it – we were literally running in circles around the swimming pool!

Just about every area of my waking life is a “project” undergoing heavy construction: love, finances, career, work, and living space. I often have “anxiety” dreams (especially given my current tidal wave of change), but never with graphic images of diseased flesh and in such a provocative area of the body. I am just not sure what to think of it. Any ideas??

Amongst all your worries is the worry that your boyfriend might infect you with some sexually transmitted desease. You don't like to think that your boyfriend is that sort of fellow, so your subconscious transferred the problem to his brother. However you can be sure that it is your boyfriend that caused the dream.
You are probably overdoing it with all the planning and running around, so you need these kind of strong dreams to wake you in the morning. However some pain or itching around your lower end could have caused the dream.
