Watching Two Boys In a Haunted Room

I was observing a family and their two sons inside theri own homes. The boys were supposed to be asleep but they didn't want to go to their bedrooms because of a ghost that was haunting them. However, the parents were making them go into the haunted room while threatening punishment if they didn't go. As I watched them I wondered how the parents would like it if they were having to go through what their sons were experiencing.
