Tornado

I looked in the dream dictionary for a tornado and I don't really agree with the definition that is there, I believe that it is too specific. Tornados in dreams may have nothing to do at all with business or work.

The definition I suggest is:

If you are caught up in a tornado or just threatened by one then it is a sign of a strong emotion that you are feeling, but may not recognize in waking life. That emotion may be sadness, guilt, or any other emotion, especially if it is an unwanted emotion that you live with but do not wish acnowledge it's prescence. The tornado is a symbol of the battle to contain the unwanted emotion, to subdue it, and the attempt to pretend that it does not exist.

Tornado: [My take on the meaning]

Violent energy of one kind or another. Could be emotions or feelings that we have no control over. Energy that has turned in on itself. Something potentially destructive. A situation we feel 'powerless' in.

But also can be a 'cleansing' image - like the 'broom that sweeps clean'. After it is the potential for a 'new beginning/start'.

Okay, yes, I agree with that, thanks. My dreams lately have been very violent and for me it is because I am gong through a difficult time, I am having difficulties adjusting. So that is the meaning of my dream tornado.

To me tornadoes represent Sudden, Powerful and Unexpected changes. It is a cleansing action, a vortex that moves everything in it's path.
