Skink ( sand fish)

I found this forum because of the above post. I was doing some research on a very odd dream I had last night.

I didn't get to bed until like 4 in the morning due to taking my husband to the hospital, but I had some weird vivid dreams, and the most vivid was that I was at a college or university and met a girl who had maybe a dozen of the lizard-like creatures and I asked plainly if they were skinks and she said yes. I played with them for a while before I woke up or went on to another dream, or whatever. Anyone have an idea what a skink might represent? Look --the spelling dictionary even thinks it's spelled wrong. I've never met a skink and can't imagine why I would dream about them. Researching their appearance in dreams hasn't yielded any info except for the above.

They're a type of lizard, but many don't even have legs and are more like a snake. There are about 1200 species of skinks. I guess it's entirely possible that I've met one, but didn't realize it wasn't a lizard. I would have no clue of the differences, frankly. I can't ID lizards and I certainly couldn't ID skinks --so why I recognized them in this dream is as bizarre as their appearance.

Sorry to just barge into your forum, but for some reason this dream seems significant.
