Arrow My donkey dream...

I was at my god parents house and they weren’t there I assumed they were probably on a vacation. It was just myself and a little girl that was probably my god sister. Before I went inside I saw in the backyard tied with a crayon color blue leash a donkey. I was looking at it awkwardly wondering what was it doing here. I lightly pet it and went upstairs. The house was dark (still daylight).

I was playing with the 2 cats (brother and sister) until my god sister said, “The donkey’s running away!” I ran to the window and looked outside. I saw the donkey trotting away from the yard with its blue leash dragging. I ran downstairs and went after the donkey. It didn’t speed up but I still wasn’t any close to catching it. Once I got up the street I stopped and watched it run down the street which was downtown St. Paul it was headed.

I ran in its direction and I stopped at a bookstore. I waited for the lady to be done with helping a customer. Afterwards, I asked her “I know this may sound weird, but you wouldn’t happen to have seen a donkey go by here?” She said, “Hmm…yes I did.” I said, “Ok, thanks”. Then she said, “Wait! Aren’t you going to look around at books?” I said, “I don’t have time! I have to get the donkey!” She said, “Oh that donkey’s fine! Have a look around.” Then she walked off.

I looked and started walking a little ways down from her checkout counter. I saw some “restaurant” size tea leaves with wording on it saying, “body cleansers”, “weight loss”, etc. Then right between the stack of those tea leaves and some other product was the donkey casually chewing something. I was so relieved and grabbed the blue leash and I guess I was getting ready to walk it back to my god parent’s house…after that I woke up.

Now, the only reason why I can remember it with much detail because it was the last dream I had before I awoke. Plus, I’ve never dreamt of a donkey before…atleast not that I know of. Also I think it was a lucid dream because I was aware of myself dreaming yet it felt “so” real.

Anyway, I did some research about donkey dreams and I found other things except one “chasing” the donkey. So, can anyone give me an idea of what my dream meant?
Thanks in advance,
