Because through discussion and opposing viewpoints we can understand ourselves and each other a little bit better. Would you really want to waste your time speaking to someone who always agrees with you and sees the world as you do? How boring and uninformative would that be?

Besides, I see a lot of posts that are grounded in superstition and ignorance. This will mislead.

No I just feel that you do not always have to disagree with people. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but sometimes people get annoyed or put down when they are always told they are wrong. I am not saying you should agree with them though, but I am saying if you are going to disagree with someone at least be understanding and maybe give your viewpoint instead of just saying no. I understand having people with different viewpoints to talk to is good, my friend and I have had heated debates on the subject of abortion. I do not just tell her that she is completely wrong though... I give my reasons for my beliefs and why I do not agree with abortion. Do you see where I am coming from?
