I think even though you are not together (sorry I misread that you were) the same themes still apply. The themes I would identify are:

Seperation, loss and difficulty coping with those feelings.

Feelings of seperation and loss are especially difficult to cope with when we have had an early experience of them that was not handled very well by the adults around us. For instance if a close loved one moved away or died. Or we had to have a long stay in hospital or someone very important to us did.

Children find these kinds of seperations very hard because as children we are completely dependent for our survival on the adults that look after us. When one of our care givers disappears we can feel like we will be destroyed. These feelings are so powerful they are often repressed because the child doesn't know how to manage them and they resurface later on in life when we have the emotional and mental capacity to deal with them.

So are my dreams telling me that I should tell him what is on my mind and see what happens? Because this is not the first dream that I have had with this guy being my bf or husbend.

I can't tell you what you should do honey. You obviously have deep feelings for this man but who knows if he feels the same for you. It's a decision you need to make alone.

On the relationship level your dream is expressing your wish to be with Cody, not necessarily prophecising the future of your relationship with him.
