Disturbing Molestation Dream

I had a dream that my daughter was molested by a man who was working or volunteering at her school. I went up to have lunch with her and she went to save a place for me at the table while I carried the food over. I walked to the table and caught this man fondling her under the table. She said that he just didn't know what he was doing. I freaked out and told her it wasn't ok and called the police, then I woke up.

I am very disturbed by this dream. I have never been molested and I don't know what would prompt such a horrible dream. Can anyone please advise?

Some wise person said that "having children is like having your heart living outside your body." I think your dream is probably related to a general fear about the types of evil (child molesters) that are in the world; and your concern for your daughter because of it.

It might ease your mind to have the "talk" with your child (about strangers/ good touch/ bad touch) again, no matter how many times you've already had it.

I think there is so much talk about child molesters on TV, (Law & Order SUV, for example), on the news, in the papers, etc. that it is understandable that it creeps into our dreams.
