Does anybody know if being at a zoo means something?

The other night I was at a zoo and there were lots of animals, they were a little irritated because of something I did, so I was scared to take the risk and go further than the entrance. A few seconds later, a guy came and told me there was nothing to be scared of, that we had to see something at the end of the garden(some bugs or animals, I don't remember). He put me on his shoulders and took me there.
