Hearing a Scream
This was not me screaming, it was a woman I do not know. The information I've found on screams is on you yourself screaming so I don't know what someone else screaming might mean.
More information on context of scream:
Heard desperate, piercing (but not high-pitched) scream -- remember distinctly didn't call emergency. Know that woman is being raped. Know they are closer as I'm walking, so I start kind of stressed fast walking, remember thinking, "so if I scream when I'm being raped, no one will do anything. She should scream fire." As turn in an alley, hide in a corner out of fear, then see the man and the woman in front of me. Woman is 5-10 years older than me, looks completely different from me. Man tries to get her to her apartment which is just ahead, down the street. She told him to leave her alone, that she's not going etc. -- very strong woman, almost like she's talking to a child. He said did she really think she could fight him off, he takes defense classes. I'm still looking, completely big eyes, etc. other obviously not very concerned. Older woman passing by says "No other species does this" (something I've often thought when watching the news/reading the paper for stories on horrible things people do to others).
I don't know how many screams there were or if she screamed at the end, I just know the scream stuck with me (I could hear it) for almost an hour after waking up.
