What does it mean when someone dreams of a city either futuristic or ordinary?

I'm new to this, but maybe it reflects your inner state of mind, like if it's an overpopulated dirty polluted city that make you feel suffocated, that could be how you feel regarding your life, whereas if it's futuristic it could indicate plans or hopes for the future, and the city could reflect how confident and happy you are about these plans, maybe???
